Deborah's love for movement began in CT as a young child in the dance studio, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and pas de deux. She performed in musicals, plays, dance competitions, and galas throughout her childhood, and by age 16 had begun teaching dance to young students. She graduated magna cum laude from American University in DC as one of the last undergraduate students to achieve the Arts Management degree (concentration: Dance). Deborah made her way to New York City in 2007, where she expanded to teaching dance and fitness for some of the largest gym chains in the city. In addition to teaching a large variety of class formats, Deborah served as a Group Exercise Coordinator first for New York Sports Clubs, and later as a Group Fitness Manager at Crunch Fitness. During her 11 years at Crunch she served as a Master Instructor, Lead Instructor for the CrunchLive website, and developed, trained and consulted for numerous new class launches and videos.
In September of 2018, Deborah's world expanded when she gave birth to her daughter. In April 2019 she and her wonderful husband relocated to the Charleston, SC area.
With the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic and quarantine restrictions in March 2020, Deborah felt moved to "test the waters" with teaching virtual classes. She has been delighted to discover this new way of connecting with former students and their friends and family as she offers classes to students across the country and around the world.
